HAVE YOU BEEN BORN AGAIN?
This is the most important question anyone will ever ask you. Your very soul depends upon the honest answer. For there is an appointment ahead that can not be avoided. (Heb 9:27) "And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:" How will you do when you stand before God?
Some will say, "I have done the best I could. I have treated others like I wanted to be treated. I am just as good as anyone else." All those statements my be perfectly correct, but the Bible says: (Eph 2:8-9) "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: {9} Not of works, lest any man should boast." Man is not saved by his own good works, or desires, or attainments. All men, small and great, stand equally before all mighty God as sinners, bound for an eternal hell. (Rom 3:10) "As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:" (Rom 3:23) "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" (Rom 5:12) "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:"
Others will depend upon the dogma of a church or religious organization to get them to heaven. But God has provided only one way to escape the penalty of sin. (Rom 6:23) "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Jesus Christ, God"s only begotten Son, is the means by which we are forgiven and set free from the wages of sin. (John 14:6) "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." (Acts 4:12) "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." It would not make a bit of difference how many men you confess your sins to; or, how many times you have been baptized; or, how many candles someone burns for you after you die. THE ONLY WAY TO BE SAVED IS TO TRUST IN JESUS CHRIST!
WHAT MUST I DO TO BE SAVED?
The Word of God teaches us that we can know that we are saved. (1 John 5:13) "These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God." There is no need to "wait and find out" after you die. You can know today.
1. REALIZE THAT YOU ARE A SINNER, BUT GOD LOVES YOUR SOUL AND JESUS CHRIST DIED FOR YOU. (Rom 5:8) "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." (John 3:16) "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
2. REPENT OF YOUR SIN AND TURN TO GOD. (Acts 20:21) "Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ."(2 Cor 7:10) "For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death."
3. RECEIVE FORGIVENESS AND SALVATION OF YOUR SOUL BY FAITH
IN JESUS CHRIST. (Rom 10:9-10) "That if thou
shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart
that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. {10} For with the
heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made
unto salvation." (Rom 10:13) "For
whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
If you will receive Jesus Christ today, trust Him with your heart to forgive your sins and provide salvation for you by His own shed blood on the cross. Call upon His precious name and ask Him to save you.
